“I don’t wanna be ordinary…” is a line in a song that roams around in my head. Ordinary doesn’t feel glamorous, or exciting. Ordinary feels boring, repetitive, bland.
But then again…
if it wasn’t for ordinary, we would not know extra-ordinary.
if it wasn’t for ordinary, I would have no sense of boundaries, traditions and every day life safety nets.

if it wasn’t for ordinary, I would have no sense of balance, no pillow to rest my heart on.
and if it wasn’t for ordinary, I am pretty sure that I’d miss out on life altogether.
I think I like ordinary.
Ordinary is where life happens.

My husband has always said that if everything is special than nothing is special
The beauty of the extraordinary is found only when it is framed by the everyday ordinary stuff…which has a beauty all it’s own if we’ll look to see it
oh I so agree!
