My friends Jennie, Paula and I went to visit my daughter Maelys in Winchester, VA yesterday. It was quite a long drive, but so worth it. There’s nothing like “girl-time!” We laughed and giggled, and talked and discussed, and ate and … well, just lived. It was so cool for my daughter to show us her school, her neighborhood, her place. She made us yummy fruit kebobs, and we just sat together for a while, enjoying each other’s company. Paula used to babysit Maelys, and now they are friends, equals, two women of God, living righteously in this wicked world. Jennie made a dress for Maelys when she was wee little, and now they talk fashion and taste together. I am so proud of my daughter and my friends. Life marches on, and we are choosing to enjoy each day. God is very good indeed!
