Reset

Our weekend away was wonderful. I am thankful for an opportunity to be with family and friends for a couple of days with no work pressure, no television and lots of time to be together, to listen to each other, laugh, play and simply be together.
It took a few hours for me to actually relax and stop thinking about all the things I am responsible for, I have to do next week and I am planning in the near future. Only then did I begin to enjoy myself truly, savoring the moments, actively living. And it wasn’t till hours later that the Lord began to speak to me about my life and what is truly valuable, and what must change, and how it can be changed.
I think my mind was too full before to hear Him speak. I have been reset, and what a joy that is! I have come back re-everything: restored, reset, refilled with joy and peace, reenergized, recommitted to run the race well–
No money on earth could have done this for me; only the presence of the Lord in a little log cabin.
