Be still my Soul

Be still, my troubled soul,

Your Savior has come

To set your feet a-dancing,

To put your heart at rest.

Did you hear the good news?

All your struggles with self

Were given a death sentence

At that marvelous Cross.

Condemner of all Death,

His death has healed your soul

Creator of all Life,

His life has set you free.

The Living Word of God

Has settled all your battles,

He left nothing undone.

Salvation has been brought!

And now, my soul, do listen!

Stand on His truth and live

Take a hold of His hand

And live beyond the cross.

Tell your heart to rejoice!

And set your face a-smiling

The Savior has come!

And victory is yours.

  2. Dear Barb,
God has put this on my heart a lot lately. Again and again I stumbled over the verse “Be still and know that I am God.” To rest in the glorious knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and about what He did for us is the most wonderful thing! We CAN be still because our God is bigger, greater than any challenge we face. We will always be the winners because we belong to an amazing God who has accomplished victory for us.
1John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
1John 5:4-5 “for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”
We belong to an amazing, amazing God! Unspeakable!
Thank you for sharing what He has gifted you with!
