Wednesday’s W is for Wind

The wind blew and blew and blew.

But you really can’t see wind, can you?  All you see is its effect.

And I watched the wind affect my favorite tree.  Its branches tossed back and forth mercilessly for hours, and many leaves fell. The wind yanked a couple of smaller branches off.

But the tree stood.

Rooted.

Grounded.

Unshakable.

The wind came and left, and the tree remained.  Shaken, wounded, but strong, immovable.

And once more, life proved God’s principles to be so: roots are worth their weight in gold.  And then some.

What are your unshakable roots?
