Options

I was just offered a new job.  New project, new goals, new excitement, new environment… The employer valued me and wanted me.

Wow.  Flattering.  Feels great.

And after much soul searching, I did not take the leap.  I turned the new job down.  It felt a little weird, like I missed out on a great sale and I should just have gone for it.  But I know that I made the perfect decision.

This experience did a lot for me.  The possibility of what could be made me take a hard look at what is.  And you know what?  What I have is great! I am not ready to give it up.

Options give hope, and dreams, and make you face where you are at.

Options make the reality of what is already there so much more real.

Options solidify choices.

I like that.

  1. It’s wonderful that you were able to make the decision and be settled in your heart. You hear of so many people who live life always wondering if they made the wrong choices or dwell on what could have been…with the Lord as your Shepherd, you can trust that He leads you in the perfect path.

  2. I’ve had that same opportunity a few different times in my life. I have felt truly blessed in those times, as I know and have known many people who don’t have a lot of options (especially financially) in their lives.
