Name Calling

I call myself a clutz; He calls me sanctified in Him.

David was an adulterer, yet God called him a man after His own heart.

I call myself a loser; He calls me an over-comer in Him.

Gideon hid in the winepress, and God called him a mighty warrior.

I call myself weak; He says I am strong in Him.

You see your husband as a loser, and God calls him a priest over his household.

I call myself a simple girl; He calls me a daughter of the King.

“Agree with God and be at peace; thereby good shall come to you.” Job 22:21

  1. The important thing is, “He knows my name”…my name is written down in His book…The Lamb’s Book of Life…that is too marvelous…too wonderful for me to comprehend. It’s good for us to be reminded of our preciousness to God. Thank you for these reminders today.

  2. I’m struggling with physical/neurological issues now, and it ain’t no fun. One blessing? I know the Lord will always use me, no matter what is going on in my physical life. Blessing #2: my husband loves me constantly and consistently. He has to correct my thinking more often, keep me from falling, come up with the words I’m trying to find in my head … and he tells me he loves me many times a day. That has not changed a bit. And it is one of the biggest blessings of my life. Thanks for sharing. It is a good reminder of how to perceive reality forever and ever.

  3. It’s only by agreeing with God that we can find true peace. Thanks for sharing this excellent reminder of who we are in Christ.
