Some things in life are subject to our acceptance. And since we live in a democracy, we are entitled to vote on many issues that concern our countries. When things go the way they are supposed to go, the majority wins. Each vote is a voice, and it counts. It matters.
In the kingdom of God, things are quite different. The kingdom of God runs by different rules: it’s a theocracy, not a democracy.
We don’t get to choose whether God is the King of not. He is.
We don’t get to vote on who is in and who is not. God is the judge.
We don’t get a voice as to how to run the universe. He does it His way.
And, most wonderfully, you don’t get to choose whether God loves you or not.
