God is immortal. He cannot die. He was never created, so He really doesn’t have a beginning nor does He have an end. He was, He is, and He forever will be. He will not and He cannot die.

I can almost wrap my head around that awesome reality.

But then He comes around and says that we who have believed in Him have eternal life. We have in us the kind of life that does not end. That never will end. That cannot end. We have inside of us the very life of the immortal God. Because He caused us to be born again of a seed which is not of this place–a seed that is incorruptible  a seed that cannot be defiled and will never be overcome.

God Himself has joined Himself to our spirit and has made it brand new, eternal, forever one with Him. This new spirit inside of us, it cannot die. It will forever delight in Him. It will forever be with Him.

And this makes me wanna dance!

In the Alphabet of Life, I is for Immortal.

For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:23
