I am having a reality party, and you are invited.
No Tupperware, Mary Kay, Jewelry, Pampered Chef items. No books to read and analyze, no talk to give, no specific dress code necessary.
All you need to bring is the real you. Not the made up, fake, ready to be acceptable, polite and looking-for-approval you. Not the “I-am-trying-to-make-you-like-me” you.
Funny, sensitive, caring, ticklish you.
Smart, witty, organized, disorganized, tasteful and tasteless you.
A bit complaining, somewhat hypochondriac you.
When you get here, let’s have a cup of coffee. Or herbal tea. Or a glass of Cabernet–I like it very, very dry. And we’ll be real together. With all the tears, and the giggles and the raw pain of life.
We’ll tell it like it is.
And there will be no rules.
But one:no matter where the conversation goes, we will always have to end with the truest of truth: the Word of God.
Because there really isn’t any other place for us to end.
Will you come?
